It’s time to find a project management mentor! Project Managers Against Poverty (PMAP) runs an e-mentoring scheme for project managers who work in international development and the third sector. The scheme enables mentors and mentees to register and manage their profiles, to securely establish and conduct successful mentoring relationships. Mentees are able to choose their mentors. It enables mentees to learn from another person’s vision, experience, and learning, and get professional guidance on the challenges they encounter. We have 38 volunteer mentors registered from 18 countries, and 46 mentees registered from 25 countries. To read about the benefits of the PMAP scheme and experiences of mentees see the Association for Project Management (APM) blog here. The service is provided at no cost to users.
To find out more please join us at a webinar either on Tuesday 25th April and Friday 28th April at 13:00 UTC (that’s 14:00 GMT) lasting 40 minutes. We will discuss what mentoring is about and why it is important, and how to find a project management mentor through our website. The session will be fully interactive with the opportunity to ask lots of questions.
Register here for the webinar and confirm which date you are attending. I will then send you the webinar link. In the meantime if you have any questions or concerns please contact me at peter@pmap.email. I look forward to meeting with you.
