Brandy Westerman has recently become the Vice President (Program Development) at Near East Foundation. In her previous position as the Director of Program Management at Mercy Corps, Brandy has led the adoption of minimum standards for Program Management at the organization, while engaging field and headquarters teams in learning and application of project management practice, utilizing Project Management for Development Professionals (PMD Pro) as a foundation for this effort.

Brandy also served as Country Director and portfolio manager for Mercy Corps in Tajikistan. Brandy has worked in international development since 1998 designing, managing and evaluating programs and agency-wide initiatives from both headquarters and field positions. Certified as a PRINCE2 Practitioner as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute, Brandy believes that the impact of international relief and development projects can be significantly improved through professional and intentional project management practice within NGOs and their key partners.
